Phil had been telling me for a while that Jack is an Ogden and Ogdens are punctual and like things to be planned. Logically, he would arrive on his due date. I was dismissive of this notion, but Phil eneded up completely right. At 12:50 a.m. on June 15th I woke up having intense contractions that progressed to 3 minutes apart in a hurry. Within an hour, we were on our way to the hospital. I had a wonderful nurse who allowed me to get an epidural, even though I had technically progressed to far in such a short time. At 5:20 a.m., I was complete and 21 minutes later, Jack Thomas Ogden arrived weighing 8 lbs. 4 0z. and 21 1/2 inches long. The delivery was really fast, but we're both doing well. He has been a great baby so far (knock on wood) and he and Ryan even napped at the same time this afternoon after we arrived home and allowed me to get a two hour nap. I just hope things continue to go this well.
Congrats! He looks really cute. I think he looks a lot like Ryan actually.
ReplyDeleteHe is so adorable! I am still jealous about the speed of your delivery...aren't we related?! How'd I get the short end of the stick in the labor/delivery department? Oh well, the outcome is the same I guess. Can't wait for our boys to grow up together.

ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your body's ability to have a baby and come home so quickly! It is as if your body just adds having a baby to the list of to-dos along with "pick up milk" and "buy stamps."
